A Glimpse of Hope

Dear Reader,

Truthfully reading my Bible and being able to actually understand it has never really come easy to me. But this year as I aim towards living on my own and adopting, I want to lean in on God’s word more consistently.

I have always gotten overwhelmed by all the options of where to start in the Bible. But in the YouVersion Bible app I am able to follow along as it reads it out loud.

This option has been amazing for me as it allows me to be able to picture what is being said. Instead of using all my energy into making sure I’m reading the right line on the page.

For the past few days, I’ve been diving into the Bible plans talking about orphans and how to help them. Since helping orphans is a special interest of mine being able to study what God has to say about this is opening up my eyes to things I had never considered before.

What is amazing is that God is using the special interest he has given me to draw me deeper into his word. Until recently I hadn’t ever considered starting with what God has called me to do as a place in the Bible to begin studying.

As helping orphans is my special interest allowing God to guide me into further studying of this topic is very motivating. A motivation that I’ve never really had before this year.

I pray as I dig deeper into His word, I will be led to know how he wants me to proceed in life. Can’t wait to see where he leads me.
