Dear Reader,

From the time I started talking I began praying for a baby sister. God answered that when he led my parents to adopt a second child.

But it didn’t stop there. I still wanted another younger sister. God answered that prayer too. Giving my family another child through adoption.

At the time I didn’t realize I was helping orphans. All I knew was that I wanted a baby sister. But that was just the beginning.

Fast forward to the summer of 2010 when my family moved from California to Indiana. We took a long road trip that summer.

During our trip we stopped at my mom’s friend’s house. That is where I met my best friend, Maggie.

Maggie was also adopted just like me. Hearing her adoption story really fascinated me. Which helped to make our friendship grow.

Spring of 2013, I was told that Maggie went to heaven. I was heartbroken. Even though I didn’t understand why, I made a promise to myself that I would go help orphans around the world.

At the time I had no idea how or when I could do that. All I knew was that time would tell.

Join me as I continue my journey to help orphans around the world.
